Spin Wheel privacy policy

Spin Wheel chooses one item from a list you provide.

Data and storage

Chrome local extension storage keeps the list items and weights, text field contents, spin settings, sound setting, winner removal setting, installation time, completed spin count, the last removal used for undo, and a numeric client ID for install counting.

Spin Wheel reads selected text only after you choose From selection. It reads a local file only after you choose a CSV or TXT file.

Install counting

The bundled welcome page opens once after the first installation and sends the install count through this site, which derives the country from the connection and stores nothing.

The install request contains a client ID, product identifier, and extension version.

Ratings and removal

One to three stars opens the hosted rating page with the selected score and language. Four or five stars opens Chrome Web Store reviews when a listing is configured. The uninstall URL opens the hosted goodbye page. Feedback submitted on those pages is sent to the publisher.

The hosted rating and goodbye pages use analytics to count ratings and removals by country.

Retention

Extension records remain in Chrome storage until changed or Spin Wheel is removed. Submitted feedback is held separately from extension storage.
